.: String Concert! Pharmacy Camp! :.

Hi people!!! back!!! haha.......
String concert---Resonance ( thurs 9/12/2004)
reached TCHS drama centre nearing 5. rehearsal was sorta half way through already. had to reach late cos of pharmacy camp...joined in the rehearsal, which ended at 6 plus. then we had dinner (chicken rice) then went to change. concert commenced at 7.30pm. started off with Holberg then went on to Tchaikowsky's Serenade. Screwed up some parts...sigh.......but overall, entire concert was nice!!! yeah........ thanks gloria liming jeff vernon for supporting. my family came too! kaiyun and her friend came too! thanks! didn't get to see ky though....some day some time..haha..... couldn't join the rest for the farewell party we were throwing for our conductor Mr Ernie Tan at Swensens aft the concert cos i had to go back to nus with liming and v. Yup. So i exchanged my viola and cca stuff with my parents for my luggage. then went back to nus with liming and v. Now, concert is over......syf...

Pharmacy Camp (thur 9/12/2004 - sat 11/12/2004)
started on thursday...waited for v at the nus bus-stop first before proceeding to the sci foyer. then registered, took our pharmacy shirt, and went up to lt 32. we were split up into groups. HC in one grp. 9/12, first stop for us was the Medical Devices stop. Got to try out the blood pressure test, blood glucose test and body fat test. cos at night got string concert, playing viola, so had to prick my right finger instead of my left finger. also played ard a little with asthma devices. next stop was a Self Care talk. Basic stuff abt the common ailments like the common cold, the flu, fever, cough, motion sickness, diarrohoea and constipation. Last stop of the day was PC modelling. Fun! played ard with the computer prog, building and dismantling the molecules, adding bonds, finding bond angles, bond lengths etc......had to leave earlier cos of string rehearsal. left with qiqin at 3 nearing 4...yupyup... at night, realised i was "homeless". cos the person-in-charge, Mark, didn't allow liming to take my key for me (liming v me were staying over at nus Prince George's Park) for the camp). when we reached PGP, couldn't contact Mark.....walked ard aimlessly with liming and v. then later, v called his OGL, who told me to go basketball court. had to wait for the games to end first before he could take me back to give me my key....sat at the court in my concert attire.....haha..so funny...v had flu, so he went back to sleep first. liming accompanied me to go back to block 19 with him to get the key. realised i am right beside liming! haha..blk 18 level 6 room F. the room i nice! everything is white...aft bathing, went down to TV function room to meet night grp to discuss next day's talentime item....this night, couldn't sleep, cos too cold, no long pants, no blanket, off the fan, but still unberably cold, was in a foetal position throughout the night.haha......

10/11--first session today was Ideal Pharmacy. had to think of services and improvements we would like to see in the present day pharmacies...next session, Dispensing.....nice!!! went to the labs in S4A, where my srp mentor is stationed. didn't get to see her though.....we made our very own medicine! fun!!! haha.....me liming v were busily pasting all sorts of labels on our very own medicine bottles. haha....... real fun!!! the preparation procedure required accuracy, patience, speed and a meticulous attitude, but it was fun!!! haha.....at night, had bbq. aft eating some food, the 3 of us sneaked off to TV function room to watch tv for a while. then later had to go amphi for talentime. then it started raining, then pouring, then showering.haha.. moved to another function room in the end. last thing of the day was debrief. tonight, smarter, borrowed bedsheet from v to act as blanket. don't wanna freeze again..haha.......

11/11--last day of camp...managed to sleep last night!!! haha....though not yi2jiao4 dao4 tian1 ming2, but at least i slept! haha....woke up, packed my stuff, then met liming downstairs to pass up the key, or rather, the transpondent(?). then met v. then the entire grp of us took shuttle bus out of PGP back to nus campus. a whole series of talks today...cos no one from HC was in full sch u, i hastily went off to change into liming's blouse ( i had my HC skirt on). then when giving out cert of participation, when they announced NYGH, i actually stood up then suddenly realised i am no longer from NY, then sat down, haha...at the end of the day, all of us had lotsa, and i mean LOTSA streps, and shiseido hampers....plus vit c, diarrhoea pills, Robitussin tablets, Centrum pills etc..haha...... prog ended at 3 plus....liming took shuttle bus out of nus while me and v took 963. oops.......carried luggage in right hand, left hand holding onto another plastic bag.........unbalanced, knocked into 2 pple, oops...sorry....... heehee....had a hard time making my way to the back of the bus.... reached home, slept.haha......

truly this pharmacy camp has helped me learn more abt pharmacy. i am actually interested in pharmacy now..really.... it's fun... really...
