.: ~national day celebrations @ hci~ :.

~there was a very heavy jam along bukit timah road this morning, most prob due to the heavy rain.... was stuck along that stretch from a little before 7 till ard 7.25!!! the bus was really inching forward.....wasn't sure where flag raising was going to be held...the girl beside me told me there wasn't going to be any flag raising, so i alighted at the jc bus-stop, but as luck would have it, i was just in time to hear the announcement asking all students to move to the high school side as the rain had stopped, just as i was walking down the stairs to the canteen...so we moved over...watched the parade...first time watching a sch parade display...not bad lah.... aft assembly, went back to the college section for the remainder of the celebrations programme... as most people will agree, this year's programme is better than last year's... there was this fashion show, knowledge quizzes, photo montage, singing sessions.....all of which managed to capture at least a reasonable amount of audience's attention...quite lively...atmosphere was certainly much better than last year's... this year's momento is also rather meaningful...a book describing the various important events that occurred on each day of the year...didn't know i share the same birthday as the zoo..... haha.......

~aft the celebrations, went to west mall with lyn and jeff for lunch...eh....all 3 of us were quiet peeps, haha..... so we were, for most of the journey from sch to west mall, and later from west mall to bukit gombak sports complex, enshrouded in awkward silence.. haha...... we just didn't have the knack to start crapping out of the blue..... haha..... went to gombak aft lunch... bball court was occupied... weren't let in to play pool, so we brought forward the playing time for badminton from 2-4 to 1-3. cy arrived soon after...the 2 genetically determined guys kept delivering dropshots.. haha... fine..... so us gals returned dropshots too.. haha... of course there were smacks as well...rather tiring....... hadn't played badminton proper for a very long time already.... nice playing once again... thought i can't run about as much as before haha... have to admit my left knee felt a bit pain aft the game of badminton, but it should be alright... alr controlled my degree of running during the game...should be alright... yeah..
~aft badminton, it was only 3pm..nobody felt like going home yet... so we tried (notice it's "tried") where to go...couldn't decide... ended up playing alternate games of bridge and dai-di while deciding where to go..... think we played for quite long.. before deciding to play pool at jurong entertainment centre... when we reached there, we were told we couldn't play cos we were in half-u...k, so we came out, and continued stoning, not sure what to do next..... decided to play arcade... played the eh... what's that..table hockey is it? dun noe lah.... the one we always play... quite rough eh..... haha... later me and lyn played the eh...dun noe what again.....the one with 3 coloured buttons, red green blue, and u r req to hit the correct buttons acc to the instructions..... hands were a bit painful aft that... haha.....
~it was ard 5 plus when we left... bought some snacks home for my family from the pasa malam at beside jurong mrt station...then took mrt home....tired...
~generally a fun day but tiring day..... sounds so much like the ending to a pri sch essay eh. haha......
~been thinking abt education aft 'a's....seems like my mum really wants me to stay local very much......guess i will stay local afterall...
