~prom preparations started a few weeks back with everyone eagerly looking for outfits and accessories...the prom fever probably peaked a few days before prom itself...when the exact day came, guess the fever died down slightly...went to my usual hairdresser to do up my hair, then let mum do makeup...mum didn't want me to style my hair, so my hair wasn't exactly "done up", just a simple temporary reborn, a spray of glitter here and there, and a small little clip to top it all of...simple hairdo...the hairdresser also did some makeup for me...then my mum did the rest...all along i had hated makeup..so i didn't have any comments..just let the 2 ladies do the work for me haha... but guess the foundation cream the hairdresser applied was too different a tone from my skin colour...it was too white...i looked alright in person and in the mirror, but in the photographs, under flash, i realised i looked real real white in some pics...sometimes rather scary haha...sigh...there is always something to tip the balance, preventing total satisfaction...it's ok...maybe i should learn to do some makeup myself next time so i can discern the intensity and outcome of the makeup more accurately. liked my shoes...3 inch silver heels..was afraid i wouldn't be able to walk properly but was pleasantly surprised when it was quite comfortable walking in them...reached panpacific at 540, went up to our class's hotel room..no"1610"...only jy ms and wj were there when i arrived..the other gals and guys were still out somewhere styling their hair or making their faces up...when everyone had arrived, we made our way over to ritz carlton...still remember playing the piano and string at ritz last year during the sch's anniversary... felt that the food and programme didn't really match up to the exorbitant tix price of $80...food was edible but not exactly sumptious...programme was fine but not exactly very entertaining...there was the usual scene of people walking around throughout the entire night snapping photos...most tables were literally empty throughout the entire programme...my camera wasn't in a good mood that night..i had charged it to full bat just before i left my house...but after snapping just some 5 photos? maybe even lesser than 5, and the red light started flickering...indicating politely that the bat was dangerously low...stopped snapping pics for a while...then felt it would be wasted if i didn't snap any pics..so decided to turn on the cam, immediately take pic, then immediately off cam...managed to last till aft prom...prom ended ard 11 plus...those of us who stayed...g lm jas jy hf me joel jo wj qq k yf...squeezed up the shuttle bus, thinking of going clubbing..but the security was so tight we decided not to risk it lest those without ic or bus pass get into some serious trouble....ended up singing kbox from 2-6...then took cab back to hotel...cleaned up...took many pieces of cotton wool for me to cleanse the makeup off...there was this red streak on my left hand..i had thought that was some makeup that i had accidently smeared off my face, so i rubbed it real hard with the cleanser and cotton wool...it didn't go away...rubbed harder..still there...still harder...still there..it was only after quite a while that i realised it was a cut....silly me...left w hf at 10...reached home... bedtime...haha...prom is over...
~finally dug out and started on a pouch sewing kit i purchased many many many years back...took a while for me to get into the sewing momentum...momentum slowly picked up...and everything went on smoothly...am half way through it now...will need mum's help with the seams...sewing is rather fun...but u need good eyes and bright lighting...trust me...
