~somehow, the excitement over birthdays declines exponentially as one grows older, at least for me. i don't feel excited about my birthday, though i feel excited about others' birthdays. it feels just like any other day. it is, isn't it? birthday doesn't mean that you must specially go all out to celebrate, does it? a little message, a little act, is all it does to tell someone you still remember him/her. usually my family would have a cake, then perhaps, a gift or two. this year, i specifically emphasised not to get anything haha. i am not lacking in anything. should save up (for my fees, haha). thanks peeps for the messages, for the treat. went to the airport with lm to send jas off. another year till the first digit changes...feels so old...
~grrr...the past few days my throat has been feeling itchy and sore, but i wouldn't call that pain. just sore. yesterday, it exploded. it got real real real painful. a terrible sore throat, add in a cough and a fever. omg... this morning went to see doc. the cough med's label states "may cause drowsiness" and it certainly does. my mum was commenting,"finally there is a medicine that can make you feel drowsy". u see, i usually do not feel drowsy even after consuming a med that is said to be drowsy. this time however, it really knocked me out. i had to lie on the mattress, and close my eyes. even if i couldn't sleep, i couldnt' do anything opening my eyes either. so i just had to shut my eyes and rest. 5-6 hours aft the medication, and i still feel groggy. when i stand, i feel like i am floating. grrr.... my next med taking at 10pm... sigh...
